Founders' Story |
We started Tutor Teens in March 2020 in response to schools shutting down during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as a simple effort to help family and friends turned into something much larger. We learned that parents were really struggling to keep younger children engaged while they worked from home, and we learned that older students often didn't know where to turn for homework help.
So we reached out to friends to see if they wanted to participate as tutors - and the response was overwhelming! So many teens were looking for a way to support their community. Based on the positive experience from everyone, we decided to grow the program into something that's around longer than COVID. |
