Tutor Teens Joins Square1 to Expand Youth Leadership and Free Tutoring Across Greater Cincinnati
CINCINNATI, OH (April 15, 2025) — Two of Greater Cincinnati’s most dynamic, student-led initiatives are coming together to empower the next generation of teen leaders.
Tutor Teens, a free, teen-led virtual tutoring program founded by Cincinnati siblings Erin and Aidan Finn in 2020, is becoming part of Square1, a Northern Kentucky nonprofit that helps high school students develop entrepreneurial and operational skills.
“This is about aligning two powerful missions,” said Keith Schneider, CEO of Square1. “Tutor Teens was built on the idea that young people can lead, solve problems, and make a difference. That’s exactly what Square1 is all about.”
Since its founding, Tutor Teens has:

• Delivered 6,000+ free virtual tutoring sessions
• Served 360+ students across 100+ local schools
• Trained 300+ teen tutors from over 25 high schools
• Earned coverage in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and the Cincinnati Enquirer
• Secured over $100,000 in grant funding from:
  • Accelerate
  • Main Street Ventures
  • US Presidential Scholars Foundation
  • Reds Community Fund
• Partnered with the Reds Youth Academy, the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation, and dozens of schools and local organizations

“We started during COVID to help kids and families who were struggling,” said Erin Finn, a 2023 graduate of The Seven Hills School. “It’s grown into something much bigger, and Square1 is the perfect partner to further expand it.”
Both founders will stay actively involved during the transition and continue as advisors to the program.
“Tutor Teens works because students understand what other students need,” added Aidan Finn, a 2021 graduate of St. Xavier High School. “Keeping it teen-led is what makes it powerful.”
Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, Square1’s student entrepreneurship participants will take the lead in running and growing Tutor Teens, ensuring the program remains teen-led while expanding its reach.
Pete Blackshaw, Tutor Teens board member, former CEO of Cintrifuse, and current CEO of BrandRank.AI, called the collaboration “a launchpad for even greater innovation and student-led growth.” He added, “Square1 is boldly giving real responsibility to young people and trusting them to lead with purpose.”
In the coming months, Square1 and Tutor Teens will begin preparing for the 2025–26 rollout and invite community partners, schools, and students to join them in shaping this next chapter.
